College Group Plans Naked 5K Run to Promote Nakedness
Nudists aren't just old hippies!

Convincing college kids to bare their naughty bits doesn't sound like a tough sell. But Daniel Phillips, 25, says some youngsters must be persuaded that nudists are "not just old hippies." That's why Phillips is helping to organize the Streak Sunsport Gardens 5K, a clothing-optional run/walk at the Sunsport Gardens Family Naturist Resort in Loxahatchee on August 27. The event is a fundraiser for Vita Nuda, a college nudist group that caters to people ages 18 to 30. It will be the first nude run of
its kind in South Florida, Phillips says.

Do I think women should go topless at the beach? Heck yeah, but only the good-looking ones. They're welcome to go topless at my house any time for that matter! The ugly and the fat ones should dress like Muslim women and stay home!

Community Pool?
Actually the more interesting question would be what would happen if a woman decided to go topless at a community pool. Most likely she'd be asked to leave and she might receive a citation of some kind. Some might even insist that she be charged with a sex crime for indecently exposing herself. After all, guys who pee in public sometimes get hit with sex crime charges and so for the sake of consistency (at least from the perspective of some people) it would stand to reason that a woman should be treated the same...

BUT...

Is it Constitutional to require that females cover their breasts while men are allowed to go topless without any kind of sanction? I would argue that such treatment is a form of gender inequality and that it would be therefore unconstitutional. I know such rulings have been made in various states around the country. It seems strange that few women are bold enough to challenge such laws by going topless. Is it modesty? Is it that women are timid by nature? Is it that they are so thoroughly indoctrinated with Western values that they think such public behavior would be indecent? I guess in the end sheeple are sheeple!!!

The results of enculturation are hard to escape. In fact, some say that the primary goal of adulthood should be to overcome the shallow values that we were tricked/brainwashed into internalizing/believing during childhood. To a large extent I'd say that is probably a noble goal although one should be selective about which values and norms one discards and which ones are retained. Most people acquire a lot of baggage as a result of the culture that they are raised in, but not all of it is useless baggage, just most of it!!!! But, yeah, norms regarding nudity in our society do seem to be extremely childish!
