How Much Does The Government Spend To Send A Kid To Public School?
At the low end is Utah at about $6000/student and at the high end is New York at about $18,000/student. California is at the $8000 to $10,000 range.

This is not just a secret desire of the Texas GOP. This is something they proclaimed... proudly?!!

Olney takes helm in Trona
From the picture in the paper the guy looks like an empty suit, but I'm willing to give him a chance and so we'll have to wait and see if he's any good or not!

David Olney is the new Trona Joint Unified School District superintendent and Trona High School principal. He took over Monday, replacing former Superintendent Charles Raff, who retired, and Principal Carol Lewis-May, who is returning as a classroom teacher.

TJUSD sets table to put director election on Nov. ballot
Looks like two seats on the school board are up for grabs.
The Trona Joint Unified School District Board of Trustees, at a special meeting Thursday, voted 5-0 to approve a resolution ordering an election for governing board members in November. The terms of Trustees Gary Hess and Bob Wilhelm expire Dec. 7.

It's always refreshing to see a student with the integrity to stand up (or sit down in this case) and do the right thing!

State Funded Religious Schools Are Ok (If They're Not Islamic)
