And then there's Richard Nixon's famous "I'm not a crook!" quote. That's also a classic from American politics.

For the record:

As for Clinton:
IMHO, who you have sex with is a private matter and it was entirely inappropriate for Clinton to be questioned on that issue in a court of law since it had no relevance to anything! I'm sure someone stretched an argument pretty thin to make it seem relevant, but only in imagination land does thread serve as cable to support a heavy load like that!

MojaveMike 2010-07-02:
Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe. (Frank Zappa)

Zappa was a genius whose cynical irreverence is nothing short of delightful to those who do not have their craniums permanently lodged up their poop holes!!!

I think he meant this one for religious types who like to tell others how to live their lives:
The most important thing to do in your life is to not interfere with somebody else's life.

Our growing softness, our increasing lack of physical fitness, is a menace to our security. (John F. Kennedy)

Too many people today worry about emotional development and they become soft and unable to tough it out when they need to really work hard to achieve something. What we have now is a generation of softies who expect everyone to tip toe around them so that their feelings aren't hurt! What a bunch of crybabies!!!

Gov Arnold calls the Girly men when he can get away with it LOL!

BTW, I learned a neat little memory trick for spelling the Governator's last name. It's like this:
SCH-WAR-ZEN-EGG-ER

That's three short words, WAR, ZEN, EGG, sandwiched between a common beginning and a common ending. For years I couldn't spell his last name or even pronounce it correctly, but now both problems are solved!!!
