YouPorn Users' Email Addresses, Passwords Leaked
This discussion about the YouPorn incident gets a little out of hand, but it's thoroughly amusing!

Myth of sex addiction
This is all pretty obvious to anyone with at least half a brain, but it's all over the media and those who let the media do their thinking for them probably believe that there is such a thing as sex addiction (or porn addiction, for that matter).
The trouble is that sex addiction is nothing more than a pop-psychology phenomenon, serving only to demonize sex, enforce moral views of sex and relationship and excuse irresponsible behaviors. The concept of sex addiction first appeared in the 1980s, though it has its roots in the history of the anti-masturbation movement that flourished in America a hundred years ago. Masturbation doesn’t make you go blind, and sex is not a disease. But these facts haven’t stopped people from falsely proclaiming that too much sex is bad for you, too much masturbation will turn you into a pervert and too much porn will turn a person into an uncontrollable pedophile or rapist.

Bible Belt Loves Porn
As usual, those who complain the most are the most guilty.
(Not that there's anything wrong with porn, but those doing the complaining seem to think so.)

Santorum Calls Obama Admin. Weak on Pornographers
Santorum's really harping on this issue. It seems that this might be a case of:
Methinks thou dost protest too much! :bubble:

War On Porn - Santorum Rips Obama
Santorum's anti-porn agenda is characterized as a relic from the 18th Century by this commentator. I completely agree. It's simply amazing that someone who completely disrespects the basic principles of freedom that this country was founded on could possibly gain as much support as this clown has gotten. It just goes to show that there are plenty of Americans who hate freedom!

Rick Santorum wages war on porn stars
More on Santorum's war on porn! :laughingx2:
Like MojaveMike said, this guy despises our freedoms! He must be a member of the Christian Taliban or something! And he wants to force the rest of us to comply with laws based on the Bible!

California judge sides with porn downloaders
Every once in a while a judge actually follows the law! What I'd like to see is some form of punitive action taken against companies who pull stunts like the one described in this video!!!

Police Reviewing Porn To Enforce Condom Law
An enterprising officer assigned to the porn patrol could watch it all day and then go home and write a blog recommending the best porn to porn enthusiasts. He or she might be able to pick up a little extra cash if he or she is a good enough writer and makes good enough recommendations!

Is the Internet Driving Pornography Addiction Among School-Aged Kids?
This has less to do with porn and more to do with a dysfunctional belief system. The Mormon religion (and most Christian denominations) do a poor job of preparing children to deal with sexual desire. People who become "addicted" (not the best word, but the one used in this article/video) to porn usually have problems with guilt or maladaptive beliefs regarding sexuality. This video features a guy who is trying to "help" kids to deal with porn, but what he's really doing is helping himself to a lucrative business opportunity and doing nothing to deal with the problem. Instead his message allows the problem to continue since it does nothing to solve the underlying problem: dysfunctional belief systems!
While the American Psychological Association has not yet classified pornography as a listed addiction, some professionals working in the field are treating it as such. Psychotherapist Matt Bulkley in Saint George, Utah, treats teenagers exclusively, some of whom have committed sexual offenses and some who are just hooked. "A lot of times the pornography becomes a coping style," Bulkley said. "It becomes a way that they deal with negative emotions in their life, pornography provides a euphoria. It provides a high, of sorts."
