Naked people descend on Wall Street in performance art piece
It's summer and summer is the perfect time for more naked protests! :lolly:
If you're upset organize a naked protest rally! Let the world know how you really feel!!!
New York performance artist Zefrey Throwell organized the piece, called "Ocularpation," as a comment on the lack of transparency into the inner workings on Wall Street. The vulnerability of the entirely exposed performers contrasts with the mysterious workings of the financial market. Three performers were arrested but have since been bailed out of jail.

Animal activists target local big cat owner
Animal rights advocates can be so annoying... :rolleyes2:
A national animal welfare organization says it has evidence that a local exotic animal business broke federal laws by illegally transporting animals across state lines as recently as June 28. In a letter to a top federal Fish and Wildlife law enforcement official, Washington, D.C. based representatives of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals are demanding an investigation. The group’s target is Karl Mitchell, owner of Big Cat Encounters in Pahrump.

PETA launching porn site
I might not agree with the message, but I really admire the creative way they are trying to share it with the world!
:yup:
Animal rights group plans to join other groups in reserving a new .xxx domain featuring 'pornography that benefits animals.' It appears that PETA is ready to move beyond just "barely naked celebrities" and instead go for the full monty. The animal rights organization is apparently looking to capitalize on the newly announced .xxx domain with a "pornography site that draws attention to the plight of animals."

PETA Porn Site Coming Soon!!!
They might be a bunch of animal rights nuts, but at least they know how to get MY attention!!! :laughingx2:
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals hopes that when their activists bare all, they will save all bears and other animals from what they consider inhumane treatment. Peta.xxx will be a full-nudity site featuring PETA activists. The site will launch in November or December. Previous campaigns have used nearly-nude activists in street demonstrations. "We get as naked as we're able to legally. In most cities and states that means you still have to wear pasties and some coverage on the bottom," spokeswoman Lindsay Rajt

Torturing Animals In The Name Of Medical Research! Primate Death At University Of Washington
These animal rights advocates consistently exaggerate and over-react to every little perceived problem. They don't seem to possess the cognitive capacity to be able to appreciate the incredible importance of animal research and so all they do is criticize what they don't understand!

Animal rights group rescues 800 dogs from China meat trade
There are so many better ways to use $13,000, but these animal rights nuts just don't seem to get it! And now they'll have to take care of the stupid dogs and that's going to cost even more money! Oh, well, I suppose as long as they aren't breaking any laws it's their own problem!
:smack:
Nearly 800 dogs were rescued by a Chinese animal protection group last Saturday night in the city of Zigong, in southwest Sichuan province. The Qiming Center, an animal-rights protection group in Sichuan, pulled off the rescue. Last Friday night, a volunteer tipped off the group that hundreds of caged dogs were being loaded onto trucks in Zigong and headed to various restaurants in Southern Guangxi province. The group dispatched a team of five to block the dog-trader while they posted microblogs online calling for help from animal-loving citizens. After a standoff and negotiation, the group agreed to pay the dog trader 83,000 yuan ($13,000) to secure the caged dog's freedom, said Qiming president Qiao Wei.

It's not nice to twirl cats around by their tails, but at the same time this isn't exactly a newsworthy event except that it appeals to animal abuse nuts. Another case of the media gaining viewers by appealing to hysterical people who over-react to insignificant events!

PETA hounds kids not to eat turkey
Yes!!! I agree, we should not just eat turkeys on T-Day. Dogs and cats make good eating too! :thumb:
“Turkeys may not be as familiar to us as dogs or cats, but they have the same ability to suffer; they are sensitive, curious creatures, and it doesn't make sense to call dogs our friends and turkeys our food,” Ashley Byrne, PETA’s manager of campaigns, told TODAY.com. “There are a lot of kids out there who don’t want to see such cruelty on the Thanksgiving dinner table.”
