According to the Naturist Education Foundation: "Second only to swimming, gardening is at the top of the list of family-friendly activities people are most ready to consider doing nude." There are those who might be taken aback by that claim. However, considering that many parents shower in the raw with their children (President Biden, for instance), the claim might not be all that much of an exaggeration. Some people are very uncomfortable with any form of nudity that is avoidable. Others see no issue at all with nudity. What constitutes "indecent exposure" for some, might be just incidental and acceptable nudity for others. Many adhere to the slogan "Nude is not lude," whereas other people are disgusted by even partial nudity. Some people see nudity as humorous (consider the "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me" intro scene), while others don't see anything funny about nudity. No doubt that nudity, in general, and Naked Gardening Day, more specifically, are somewhat controversial in nature!
